Head coach of Ghana’s U-17 girls, Joe Nana Adarkwa has given his views on their big win on match day one of the WAFU ZONE B Women’s Cup.
The Black Maidens defeated Benin by 4-1 in match day one at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Accra, Ghana. It was a pure class from the young Ghanaian girls who are under pressure to host and win the competition on home soil.
Head coach of the side, Joe Nana Adarkwa said of the first big win. “You can see that the two teams are very good. “Looking at their ages, you can see they are still learners.
“The outcome is not too important for us, but how we played tactically is the most important thing, and we are okay with that,” Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa said.
The Black Maidens will face the same side on Saturday in a group A game that contains Ghana and Benin due to Burkina Faso’s withdrawal. The competition will run from December 12 and 26.
