Walid Sadi has been re-elected as the President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) after securing a unanimous victory in the General Assembly election.
He was the sole candidate for the position and received 76 out of 78 votes, with one vote against and another declared invalid. Sadi, who has been leading the federation since September 2023, will now extend his tenure until 2029.
Following his re-election, FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent him an official congratulatory message.
In statements reported by DZfoot, Sadi said:
"We must improve Algerian clubs so that they have training centers. It is necessary for each professional club to have its own training center."
He added: "Today, clubs face certain financial issues, and training could help address this. Some clubs have received land, while others have not. We are studying all requests and supporting all clubs to meet their needs."
He also said: "This mandate will be dedicated to training. The new technical director, Ali Moucer, has extensive experience and a four-year term. He is an ambitious person who will play a major role in youth teams."
