Pan-Africa Football has learned that Moroccan midfielder Ahmed Belhadj, currently playing for Egyptian Premier League club Ceramica Cleopatra FC, has received a loan offer from Wydad Casablanca.

The proposed deal would see the player join the Moroccan giants until the conclusion of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

A source close to Belhadj confirmed the news to Pan-Africa Football, saying: "We have received an offer from Wydad Casablanca for Ahmed Belhadj to join them on loan until the end of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025."

The source added: "We are on it but not confirmed 100%. We are still negotiating with Ceramica Cleopatra FC to get him out."

Belhadj joined Ceramica Cleopatra FC in September 2023 from Aswan SC. He firstly had a loan period with El Gouna until the end of December 2023 then remained at Ceramica Cleopatra FC until now. Since January 2024, the 25-year-old has featured in 38 matches scoring five goals and providing three assists.

Wydad Casablanca, who are part of the elite competition, have been drawn in a difficult Group H for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. They will face names like English Premier League champions Manchester City, Juventus, and the Asian champions Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates.
