Young Africans (Yanga SC) head coach Sead Ramovic has revealed the club’s desire is to win every trophy they are currently competing in this season.
The Mainland Premier League champions will return to domestic action after they failed to qualify for the next stage of the Caf Champions League as they take on minnows Copco in the round of 64 fixture of the local Cup at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ramovic explained the club’s readiness to win and progress to the next stage and further stressed the importance of going all the way to win the trophy.
“Our main focus is to win the game and win the cup (at the end of the season), if you are
Young Africans, your aim is always to win everything and this is our goal, so we will face a team that, we have to show a lot of respect,” Ramovic told Pan-Africa Football.
“We always do (show them respect) against every team we play against, we will do the same against them, and we will try to win the game with everything that we have, so that we can go into the next round of the competition.”
He continued: "It's not that we have the best eleven players in the Young Africans squad but all the twenty-five players are good and ready for the match.”
Copco coach Lucas Mligwa revealed their readiness to face Yanga: “We have prepared well to face Yanga, we have come with our objectives and we will make sure they are fulfilled. We have worked on the physical fitness and psychology of the players because most of them are young players, who have no experience with big competitions.”
