World governing body FIFA President Gianni Infantino has pledged to support newly elected Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed to achieve his mission of turning around the fortunes of the sport in the country.

In a statement signed by Infantino and seen by Pan-Africa Football, it said: "Please accept my warmest greetings and sincere congratulations for your recent election as President of Football Kenya Federation.
"Your knowledge and leadership, your passion and experience will undoubtedly have an important impact on the development of our beautiful game in Kenya. Convinced of the potential of football in the country, you can count on my personal support and help from FIFA to achieve this goal.
"The doors of FIFA are always open if you wish to discuss our sport, its development and the promotion of its values. I also state the opportunity to convey our felicitations to the Vice-President and all members of the National Executive Committee elected with you and I wish you and your team good luck and success for all the challenges that lie ahead, in creating and witnessing a lasting legacy for the future of football in Kenya."
