Zamalek activates purchase option for Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentayg

Zamalek SC has officially activated the purchase option for Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentayg from French club Saint-Étienne.

The player has signed a new contract with Zamalek for three seasons, starting from next season, extending his stay until the end of the 2027-2028 season.

Zamalek had initially signed Mahmoud Bentayg on a one-season loan from Saint-Étienne during last summer's transfer window, with an option to buy.

Since joining Zamalek, Mahmoud Bentayg has played 21 matches, scoring one goal and providing three assists and achieve CAF Super Cup last September.
