Swiss coach Christian Gross, the head coach of Zamalek, stated that he is looking forward to defeating Nigeria’s Enyimba in tomorrow's CAF Confederation Cup match despite already securing qualification for the next round.
Zamalek will host Enyimba at 4:00 PM GMT tomorrow, Sunday, at Cairo International Stadium, in the sixth round of Group D from the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the pre-match press conference, Gross said: "Our goal is to win every match. We know that tomorrow's opponent is not easy, and matches in the African competition are always important and must be won."
The coach added: "We still have 24 hours to prepare for tomorrow's match. I am monitoring the condition of the injured players, and there may be some changes to the team's lineup during the match. Our goal is to secure the win, and I trust the focus of any player who participates."
Gross continued: "The most challenging aspect of football is creating a balance between defense and attack, which requires a lot of work. However, we are addressing the weaknesses during this period."
Regarding Zamalek's potential opponent in the next round, he said: "We are focusing on tomorrow's match and are ready to face any opponent in the next stage."
