Dr. Mohamed Osama, head of the medical staff of Zamalek's first team, confirmed that Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentayg has sustained an injury in the joint between the clavicle and the scapula. The diagnosis was revealed following medical scans conducted on the player.
According to Dr. Osama, Bentayg will undergo conservative treatment and is expected to be sidelined for a period of three to four weeks. The injury occurred during Zamalek's match against Nigeria's Enyimba, which ended in a 2-2 draw in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. Bentayg, on loan from French Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Étienne, was substituted at halftime due to the injury.
