Doctor Mohamed Osama, the head of the medical staff for Egyptian club Zamalek, has revealed details regarding the injuries sustained by Mohamed Hamdy and Ahmed Fattouh.

Mohamed Hamdy’s Injury:

Left-back Mohamed Hamdy suffered an injury during his team’s match against El Gouna in the Capital Cup. He experienced pain in his hamstring, and Dr. Osama confirmed that the player will undergo a medical examination in the coming hours.

Ahmed Fattouh’s Injury:

On the other hand, the medical team clarified that Ahmed Fattouh has been dealing with recurring pain and swelling in his knee, which required consultation with top medical specialists in Germany. After thorough discussions, it was decided that the player will not need surgery at this stage and will instead follow a conservative treatment plan.

Dr. Osama further explained that Fattouh’s condition has improved in recent hours after undergoing rehabilitation exercises. He is now expected to participate in matches normally, with his condition to be reassessed at the end of the season to determine whether surgical intervention will be necessary.

Zamalek played to a 1-1 draw against El Gouna at Cairo International Stadium in the Egypt Capital Cup.

The match kept El Gouna in second place in Group A with four points from two matches, while Zamalek sits in third place with one point from one game.

At the top of the group, Petrojet leads with six points from two matches, while Modern Sport remains fourth with zero points from one game, followed by Smouha, who has also failed to collect any points after two matches.
