Zamalek SC achieved a resounding 4-0 victory over Ghazl El-Mahalla in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League (Nile League).
The match witnessed an early surprise when the referee issued a red card to Yehia Zakaria, a Ghazl El-Mahalla player, in the third minute, leaving his team one player short for almost the entire match.
Zamalek opened the scoring in the 18th minute through striker Nasser Mansi, who finished a brilliant move assisted by Abdallah El-Said. Mansi doubled the lead just three minutes later in the 21st minute, heading in a precise cross from teammate Omar Gaber.
Despite being ahead, Zamalek continued their attacking onslaught while Ghazl El-Mahalla managed their only significant chance of the first half—a powerful shot saved by Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Awad. The first half ended with Zamalek leading 2-0.
In the 70th minute, the referee awarded Zamalek a penalty after a foul on Omar Farag. Ahmed Sayed Zizo converted the penalty with ease, scoring Zamalek's third goal. Zamalek sealed their victory in the 79th minute when defender Hossam Abdelmaguid inadvertently redirected a clearance into Ghazl El-Mahalla's net, making it 4-0.
The match concluded with Zamalek securing a comprehensive victory. Striker Nasser Mansi was named Man of the Match. This win elevates Zamalek to second place in the league standings with 9 points, while Ghazl El-Mahalla remains in 13th place with 4 points.
