Leaders Zesco United beat Green Eagles 2-1 on Sunday to move two points clear of second-placed Kabwe Warriors who dropped points in a busy weekend for Zambia’s MTN Super League action.

Freddy Michael's strike handed the nine-time champions the win in Choma, stretching their tally to 29 points in the 18-member log table, two points ahead of Kabwe who drew one-all with holders Red Arrows the previous day.

Kabwe thought they would go home with three points when Francis Banda netted in the 59th minute but the hosts replied through Angel Lubamba 10 minutes later.

Back to the action on Sunday, Lusaka Richard Ocran and Luka Mutoshi's second-half goals saw Nkwazi FC defeat Atletico Lusaka 2-1 with the visitors scoring once through Thomas Chisi.

There were goals’ galore in Lusaka where Zanaco FC thumped Green Buffaloes 4-1 to steer clear of the relegation zone on a superior goal aggregate, lying fourth from bottom while tying on 23 points with Forest Rangers, Nchanga Rangers and Lumwana Radiants.

Araina Lambert's goal and Wilson Chisala's hattrick saw Zanaco overpowering the soldiers who could only grab a face-saver through Lucky Bwalya's penalty.

In other games played on Saturday, third from bottom Rangers and Power Dynamos shared the spoils following a goalless draw as Nkana FC lost 0-1 at home to Napsa Stars. Mufulirwa Wanderers eased to a 2-0 win over Radiants while Indeni beat FC MUZA1-0.
