Zambia’s MTN Super League side Forest Rangers FC has sacked coach Ian Bakala and swiftly replaced him with Matthews Ndlovu.
Rangers general secretary Wisdom Musonda confirmed the coaching changes three days after the team threw away an early lead to draw one-all at home with Nkana FC.
“Matthews brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club, having recently served as the head coach of FC MUZA, another team in the Zambian Premier League. His expertise and passion for the game will undoubtedly be valuable assets to our club,” he said.
Musonda did not state the reasons for the release of Balaka but wished him well. He leaves Rangers in the relegation zone, lying third from the bottom 18 points behind table anchors Ideni FC.
