Cameroon international Andre Zambo Anguissa rose to the occasion to help Napoli win by 2-1 in their nerve wracking clash at home to Juventus on Saturday.
It was the Old Ladies of Italian Soccer who shot themselves ahead on the 43rd minute when France striker, Randal Kolo Muani too advantage of a defensive lapse to smash home the opener.
Napoli, despite being a goal down kept the pressure on Juventus which culminated in the equalizer on the 57th minute. Zambo-Anguissa rose above all Juventus defenders to head home a well floated cross from Juventus penalty area.
Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku could have doubled the lead but his header was ruled out following a VAR check. Napoli’s incessant pressure paid off on the 67th minute with Romelu Lukaku getting it right this time with the spot kick.
Scotland international, Scott McTominay was hacked down in the the penalty area and Lukaku made no mistake in slotting home the winner which keeps Napoli at the top of the table with 53 points from 22 matches.
They are six points above sefond placed Inter Milan who will clear their next game on Sunday at Lecce while Juventus sit 5th on 37 points. Zambo Anguissa, 29, has so far played 22 matches, scoring five goals with three assists this season.
