Senegalese striker Aliou Badji excelled at Casa Sports in his home country before choosing to make his first move abroad to Swedish football with Djurgårdens, moving on to Rapid Wien in Austria and then famous Egyptian club Al Ahly. After an underwhelming spell for the African champions, Badji is now on loan in France’s Ligue 2 with Amiens. While the club is stuck in the middle of the table the 24-year-old has rediscovered his form with 12 goals in 24 appearances this season and it will be interesting to see where Badji will be next season with his loan set to expire.
Badji goes into deep detail on all the stops in his career in an interview with Rafik Youcef of French-language publication Onze Mondial. The Senegalese striker regards his resilience and determination as reasons why he found success this season and describes his stops in Sweden, Austria and Egypt by saying the difficulties he encountered helped him become a better player.
