Nigeria Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has a unique ability to keep the Nigerian supporters guessing as far as his roster selection is concerned, for better or worse. In the leadup to the team’s friendly match against Cameroon on June 4 the German gaffer has done it again with the call-up of Portugese-based striker Abraham Marcus. Currently playing for a club owned by Nigerian businessman Kunle Soname, CD Feirense, the 21-year-old Marcus has 11 goals in 25 league appearances in the second-tier of Portuguese football but is still virtually unknown to Nigerian fans. ESPN’s Colin Udoh speaks with the elated Marcus about achieving his dream of getting called up and lists the other players who made the cut for the upcoming exhibition.
