Portuguese coach Paulo Duarte will become the new coach of the Togo national team when his current contract with Angolan club Primeiro de Agosto expires in August. The former central defender has spent over ten years in African football, managing the Burkina Faso national team for two separate stints, Tunisian club CS Sfaxien and the Gabon national team. Duarte’s greatest success in the African scene was when he managed Burkina Faso to a third-place finish in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
