While most of African domestic football is joining the world on a break for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying, Uganda’s Stanbic Cup continued on Monday with Wakiso Giants defeating the Uganda People’s Defence Force by a 3-0 score. Moses Aliro Okabo scored two excellent goals, finishing with an accurate headed goal and providing a clever finish after getting behind the UPDF defensive line. Ibrahim Kasule added a goal of his own in the convincing victory and Wakiso Giants are now off to the quarterfinals of the competition.
