It appears that after a long wait domestic football may be finally returning to Zimbabwe. The government gave Premier Soccer League and Women’s Soccer League authorities the green light after the parties worked out an arrangement that takes into account the Sports and Recreation Commission’s guidelines for the safe return of football to the country. The PSL indicated that substantial steps will be taken to ensure proper sanitation and testing requirements are adhered to in its statement. The entire 2020 season was cancelled with more recent plans for a mini-tournament scrapped as well due to financial constraints.
