Zimbabwe national team manager Norman Mapeza announced his 30-player Africa Cup of Nations provisional squad on Tuesday. The Warriors will not be at full strength for the tournament due to injuries to players such as Aston Villa’s Marvelous Nakamba, Marshal Munetsi of Stade Reims and Wigan Athletics’ Tendayi Darikwa. Another blow to the team is the failure to bring back Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat, whose return was deemed a priority after he retired from international football following the team’s failure to thrive in FIFA World Cup qualifying. However, Knowledge Musona will lead the team after previous doubts about his availability. Zimbabwe is in Group B with Senegal, Guinea and Malawi.
