Most of Senegal’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad is in manager Aliou Cissé’s announced list as the Lions of Teranga take on Egypt for a spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The 2021 AFCON final rematch will see Liverpool forward Sadio Mané and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy leading the team with the only notable differences being a change in the squad’s two backup goalkeepers.
Kalidou Koulibaly and Abdou Diallo look set to resume their center back partnership while Saliou Ciss and Bayern Munich’s Bouna Sarr take on the duties of attacking from their full back positions. Senegal will travel to Cairo for the first leg on March 25 before heading to Dakar for the return leg.
