Sudan manager Hubert Velud named his 23-player squad for upcoming matches against Algeria, Egypt and Lebanon in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup. Nearly the entire squad will be domestically based with the exception of Athar Al-Tahir, who plays his club football in Egypt with Smouha. Another player based abroad, Yasin Hamed, was called up but Hungarian club NyÃregyháza Spartacus has apparently withdrawn Hamed from international duty to the anger of manager Velud. Sudan will be aiming to finish in the top two of Group D in order to clinch a spot in the final knockout round.
