Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey to join Black Stars camp for AFCON qualifiers next week

Ghana Soccernet reports that in an unannounced twist, Ghana’s English-based stars André Ayew and Thomas Partey will jet in late to the Black Stars camp to reinforce a weakened squad for the second of Ghana’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe. Ghana needs a win to seal their spot at the tournament next January but both Ayew and Partey desired to avoid the mandatory quarantine that would await them if they travelled to the first game against South Africa, choosing to be available for one match rather than neither.
