The availability of options for Zimbabwe’s final Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Botswana and Zambia continues to diminish with news that attacking option Knox Mutizwa will be out with an injury. Zimbabwe manager Zdravko Logarusic did not have much room for optimism in his comments as he pointed out that nine of the eleven players who played Algeria to a well-fought draw in the previous match will not be available. The bad news comes at a crucial time as the Warriors lead the chase for the final qualification ticket in Group H but their upcoming opponents are right on their heels, Botswana trailing by a point and Zambia by two.
Pindula has the latest on Mutizwa’s status as well as the reasons for why many others will be missing, including an updated player list for Zimbabwe as preparations continue.
