The Sierre Leone Football Association (SLFA) has spoken out after CAF ruled that the Leone Stars’ AFCON qualifying match against Benin would be postponed to June. SLFA head of media and marketing Ibrahim Kamara protested the decision, alleging that Benin were never ready to play the fixture in Freetown after being informed that six of their players had tested positive for Covid-19. Kamara stressed that the SLFA were taking Benin’s refusal to play and comments as an insult, announcing their intention to appeal CAF’s decision.
