CAF-CC (5e j): Mission difficile pour la JSK et l’ESS à l’extérieur

Algerian teams JS Kabylie and ES Sétif face difficult road tests in their CAF Confederation games on Wednesday as the group stage winds down. JSS will be in action in the early slate of games, traveling to face Group B leaders Cotonsport as they trail the Cameroonian side by three points. A loss could drop Kabylie down to third if Moroccan club RS Berkane can achieve a victory in Zambia against NAPSA Stars.

ES Sétif gave themselves plenty of work to do with their poor start in the group stage but a home win against Nigeria’s Enyimba last round put them back into shouting distance of a top-2 spot in Group A. Heading to South Africa for a duel with Orlando Pirates, a draw may be needed at the minimum for Sétif to stay in contention for a quarter-final spot and a loss likely spells the end of their hopes.

La Gazette du Fennec previews a potentially perilous day for Algeria’s clubs in the CAFCC.
