The South African Football Association condemns abuse of Pitso Mosimane

Al Ahly’s CAF Champions League quarter-final tie against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns was always going to have an edge on contention to it due to former Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane’s current role as manager of the Egyptian giants, but Sundowns fans went overboard by blocking the Ahly team bus before the second leg to display signs of abuse directed towards the legendary South African coach. The South African Football Association (SAFA) and South African Football Coaches Association (SAFCA) announced that they will “leave no stone unturned” in identifying the perpetrators of abuse towards Mosimane and have asked Mamelodi Sundowns to help them in their investigation, stating that Mosimane was a positive ambassador for South African football.
