Africa Cup of Nations: Local coaches set to redress the balance in Cameroon

Out of the teams that have qualified for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, there is a substantial increase in the number of teams managed by African coaches compared to past editions when the trends favored foreign coaches. Mark Gleason, writing for BBC, notes that the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali was the last time there were more African coaches than foreigners, but the trend has steadily increased in favor of teams going with foreign coaches until this edition.
