The influx of African players continues to the English Premier League with news that newly promoted side Brentford FC have acquired the services of Nigeria national team midfielder Frank Onyeka from FC Midtjylland in Danish football. Onyeaka made 126 appearances for Midtjylland over four seasons after graduating from the club’s youth system and made his Nigeria national team debut against Algeria in October 2020. Onyeka’s career and move to Europe was benefitted by FC Midtjylland’s partnership with Nigerian club FC Ebedei, an agreement that previously led to striker Paul Onuachu’s success in Europe as well.
