CR Belouizdad look to have Algeria’s Ligue 1 Professionnelle title all but wrapped up following a 2-1 home victory over JS Kabylie on Friday, now possessing a seven point lead over ES Sétif with only four games left to play. Amir Sayoud scored the winning goal in the 44th minute, his 16th goal of the season, to make the difference for Le Grand Chabab over the CAF Confederation Cup runners-up.
Chamseddine Nessakh stooped down to head in a free kick with the defender opening the scoring for CRB in the 28th minute before and equalizer came for JSK through Kouceila Boualia eight minutes later when the 20-year-old forward curled in his second goal of the season from the edge of the CRB penalty area. However, it was Sayoud’s effort from distance that smashed in off the post just before halftime that led the hosts to the all important victory.
