Omam Biyik: “Burkina, Ethiopia, Cape Verde are good for Cameroon”

The draw is out for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the hosts have been handed a group that could pose quite a challenge with Burkina Faso, Cape Verde and Ethiopia having their sights set on achieving qualification from Group A at the expense of the Indomitable Lions. With some of the difficult groups that other favorites have been placed into, Cameroonian legend Francois Omam Biyik reflected that the draw could have been tougher and expressed his optimism that the hosts can navigate a top-2 finish or be one of the best third-placed teams to advance to the knockout round.
