Liberia face Cape Verde in duel for second place in Group C

Liberia will play their first home FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium against Cape Verde in a match the Lone Star will be hoping to gather maximum points from following an important win against Central African Republic last time out. Liberia has three points through two games and Cape Verde have one with each having ground to make up in order to catch Group C leaders Nigeria. Cape Verde look to have a full strength team for the match with European-based players available as well as those who are based in African countries.

Front Page Africa’s Christopher Walker reports that 16 of the 19 overseas players called in to the Liberian camp will be available with last match’s goalscoring hero Kpah Sherman leading the Lone Star into action along with fellow stars Oscar Dorley and Terrance Tisdale.
