Two Nigerians made an impact with their goal scoring during the midweek with Umar Sadiq and Stephen Odey making important contributions for La Liga 2 side Almeria and Denmark’s Randers FC respectively. Sadiq scored a goal and assisted the other two goals in a 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad B to keep Almeria top of the table in Spain’s second tier. In the Czech Republic meanwhile, the 23-year-old Odey scored twice and saved a point for the visitors from Denmark by converting a penalty kick in the last minute. Since completing a loan move to the Danish Superliga club, Odey has eight goals in nine appearances across all competitions for Randers.
