Mali are in excellent position to wrap up top spot in Group E in the second round of their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, but must be focused on avoiding defeat in their final two games. Starting with a road match against Rwanda, Les Aigles must avoid complacency against the last placed team in the group to keep themselves in prime position when they host Uganda, who they currently lead by two points. Mali will be unable to host Uganda in the final game due to an unsuitable stadium situation, so the most important match of Group E will take place in Agadir, Morocco when the two tope teams in the group square off.
