World footballing body FIFA will be taking an increased role in the football affairs of a couple of African countries with normalization committees being implemented in Guinea and Chad for differing reasons. Chad saw their national football organizing body, the Chadian Football Federation (FTFA), dissolved due to FIFA determining that government interference had taken place and have returned to international football after finishing the period of suspension last month.
Inside World Football has more on both cases, mentioning that FIFA is intervening in Guinea because of “a series of irregularities” that occurred during the electoral process for the country’s football federation.
