The fallout from South Africa’s last day defeat and elimination from FIFA World Cup qualifying at the hands of Ghana continues. A questionable foul call led to the awarding of a penalty kick that was converted by André Ayew for the lone goal of the match and ensured Ghana leapt past Bafana Bafana to take top spot in Group G, causing plenty of protest from the South African camp. The South African Football Association (SAFA) filed a protest with FIFA to express their suspicions that the match was fixed, but the world footballing body denied SAFA’s request to replay the match on neutral ground. Check out the links below to see how SAFA is reacting to the decision.
