Ahead of their participation at the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Sierra Leone received a major boost with news that central defender Steven Caulker’s paperwork has been approved for the 29-year-old English-born defender to represent the Leone Stars in international competition. Caulker, who had previously appeared once for England in a friendly in 2012, turned out for Sierra Leone in an unofficial friendly against a domestic-based Morocco side in October as he awaited the confirmation.
