Afcon 2021: The Gambia name squad for first finals

28 players were named in coach Tom Saintfiet’s squad as the Gambia national team prepares to make its long awaited debut at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Star forward Assan Ceesay of FC Zurich is joined by Sampdoria defender Omar Colley and Bologna’s Musa Barrow in the Scorpions team, who are expected to punch much above their FIFA ranking of 151 at the competition and boast plenty of talent in their attack.
