Nigeria’s record number of dual nationals for AFCON has a long history

With the large Nigerian diaspora around the world, many players have represented the Nigeria national football team who were born outside of the country, and the Super Eagles roster at the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations highlights the role of dual nationals in the setup.
