It is an exciting time for Gambian football as the national side makes their final preparations for their debut appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, but the circumstances have been quite difficult for the Scorpions. Ever since arriving in Qatar for a pre-tournament camp, multiple members of the team have tested positive for Covid-19 which resulted in a cancellation of the team’s friendly matches against Algeria and Syria.
