Plenty of drama took place in France’s domestic cup competition, the Coupe de France, as the semifinals took place during the middle of the week and Nigeria national team star Moses Simon was among the players who made a key contribution. The FC Nantes winger delivered the match-winning spot kick in a penalty shootout for his side after Nantes drew 2-2 against AS Monaco during regular time. Simon also caused plenty of danger for the Monaco defense in regular time as he helped lead Nantes to their first Coupe de France final in 22 years, where they will take on OGC Nice in May.
