Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying first legs could not have gone any better for North Africa’s representatives and that includes the national teams from the Maghreb. Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco all have the upper hand as they prepare for the second legs at home on Tuesday thanks to positive results on the road. In a report for L’Équipe, Nabil Djellit evaluates the first leg performances of the three Maghreb national teams and what he liked and disliked from their performances ahead of Tuesday’s return legs.
