Ghana’s Black Stars did not get an ideal result in Friday’s home leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchup against Nigeria but the performance was encouraging in Kumasi. Nigeria are the clear favorites but Ghana manager Otto Addo pointed out that his side did well to go toe-to-toe with the Super Eagles and that his team are capable of upsetting the odds to obtain a result in the second leg in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Tuesday.
