Ghana only more inspired to take down Nigeria for World Cup slot after the lights go off at training in Abuja

After the Nigeria national team complained of poor treatment before their 0-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff first leg draw at Ghana, the rivalry between the two West African countries has only increased leading up to the second leg in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Tuesday. Accusations of insufficient airport accommodations for the Super Eagles in Ghana was followed up by the lights going out while Ghana trained in Nigeria this week, lighting up social media discussions. Despite the distractions, the Black Stars will fancy their chances of upsetting the talented Nigerian team if they can get a precious away goal on Tuesday.

The starting lineup for Ghana appears it will be the same with one notable exception. Central attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh should be back in the eleven after suffering an injury the day before the first leg and being restricted to a cameo appearance. The FC St. Pauli player is projected to replace starlet Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for the massive occasion. The Black Stars will count on creative forces Kyereh and Mohammed Kudus as well as star midfielder Thomas Partey to provide the inspiring moment for a substandard Ghanaian attack.

More from Ghanaian media on their team is below.
