Zambia’s love for Leicester City goes back decades, well before Patson Daka arrived

English Premier League club Leicester City gained plenty of followers in Zambia after national team striker and star Patson Daka joined the Foxes on a transfer from Red Bull Salzburg but there is plenty of history between the club and the country located in south central Africa. In a a special piece for ESPN, Leonard Solms documents the relationship between Leicester and Zambia going back to a correspondence between the club and Zambia’s long serving first president, Kenneth Kaunda.
