The Nigeria U-20 national team, known as the Flying Eagles, have found plenty of success in their preparation matches for Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifying and coach Ladan Bosso declared his team ready to compete after over a week together. Nigeria scored ten goals and conceded four in their three friendly matches and will head out to Niger for two further exhibitions against the host nation before starting the group stage, where they will play against Ghana and Burkina Faso.
Bosso expressed confidence in his side to finish top of their group and remarked on the group’s improved performance compared to the beginning of their time together. Nigeria will travel to Niger with a group of thirty players with larger teams allowed to account for any absences due to Covid-19.
