Al Ahly and manager Pitso Mosimane have been forced to shift their starting eleven on numerous occasions in recent weeks due to match fixture congestion and injuries but it looks like the South African gaffer will have a healthy midfield to count on in the 2021-22 CAF Champions League final next Monday. Egypt national team members Amr El Solia and Hamdi Fathi will join Malian standout Aliou Dieng in being ready for the massive showdown against Wydad AC in Casablanca, giving the defending champions an important boost.
Ahly had a tough time without El Solia and Dieng and having Fathi only available for one of their last three games, drawing Egyptian Premier League matches against Ceramica Cleopatra and National Bank of Egypt before staging an incredible comeback on Saturday to win against ENPPI. It is unlikely however that Egypt national team center back Mohamed Abdelmonem will be available, currently listed as doubtful due to a groin injury.
