19-year-old Benin national team starlet Ange Josué Chibozo will have an opportunity to make his debut appearance at the senior levels of European club football after completing a loan move from Italian powerhouse Juventus to French Ligue 2 side Amiens this week. Chibozo played a starring role for Juventus’ under-19 side this season with twenty goals in all competitions including the under-19 league, the UEFA Youth League as well as the Coppa Italia Primavera. Amiens have an option to purchase Chibozo on a permanent basis if he impresses during the 2022-23 season.
Chibozo moved to Italy from Benin at the age of eleven before joining Inter Milan’s youth academy and eventually joining Juventus’ academy in 2017. He made his senior national team debut for Benin earlier this year, playing forty minutes in a 2-1 friendly victory over Zambia.
