Egypt national team player Trezeguet’s long-term future is secured after the winger moved on a transfer from English Premier League club Aston Villa to Turkish Super League side Trabzonspor. The 27-year-old moved for a fee of around €4 million to the Turkish club after impressing during the 2021-22 season on loan from Villa to Ä°stanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir, scoring six goals in ten matches as the club finished in fourth place and qualified for the 2022-23 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Trezeguet is set to earn around €1.5 million per season with Trabzonspor after falling out of favor at Villa due to a long-term knee injury that saw him return to action with new manager Steven Gerrard preferring other options. The forward made 64 appearances and scored 9 goals in all competitions for Villa over three seasons.
