The Juan Carlos Osorio era at Zamalek has not been perfect so far but The White Castle are finding some stability. Zamalek are securely in fourth place on the Egyptian Premier League table following a 1-0 victory at home on Thursday over Aswan SC. Ibrahima Ndiaye scored the only goal of the match in first half stoppage time the give the Senegalese forward his second goal in two matches as he is enjoying an increased role under Osorio.
Zamalek are six points clear of Arab Contractors and Al Ittihad, who failed to continue their pursuit of Zamalek with 1-0 defeat at ENPPI earlier this week. Arab Contractors defeated Haras El Hodood 2-0 away from home courtesy of first half goals from Mohamed Salim and John Okoli. Higher up on the table, Future FC are two points behind league leaders Al Ahly following a 1-1 draw at Alexandria club Smouha but are only two points ahead of Pyramids FC who have two games to make up on Future.
