Mauritania currently sits at the head of three teams all competing for the final AFCON qualification spot in Group E but Burundi and Tuesday’s opponents Central African Republic are right on the West African nation’s heels. French coach Corentin Martins stressed that the road match is going to be very difficult and that despite having the power of determining their destiny, Mauritania will have to be at their best to end the day with a ticket to Cameroon. In its report on the match Africa Top Sports notes that Mauritania can qualify with a draw if Group E leaders Morocco defeat Burundi later in the day.
